About The Guild
The Counseling Guild is an in-person and virtual private counseling practice serving adults, and couples in Ohio with counseling, consulting, and educational services. The Counseling Guild was imagined as a response to the current model of Insurance-funded, pathology-focused therapy that is rampant across the county.
In a broad sense, the mission is to elevate the quality of the counseling profession and re-solidify its place as a trusted, private, and effective means of professional help for Americans. I will achieve this mission by:
Delivering high-quality, professional counseling to individuals & couples
Facilitating affordable & helpful wellness groups for the local community
Creating unique opportunities for the continuing education of other counselors
Building out a thought-provoking and creative mental health resource collection for clients and counselors, including text, audio, and video-based content
The Counseling Guild is a for-profit practice. A sustainable and well-run business means I can provide consistent and reliable counseling services to the citizens of Marietta-Lowell Ohio. This may be considered the ‘humble beginnings’.

The Counseling Guild is easily accessible from State Route 60. The office is located among the trees and on the edge of the Muskingum River, just outside of Devola, OH. We enjoy views of the water, trees, wildlife, and the occasional boater going by. In addition to comfortable indoor sessions, we have the option to take our sessions out on the private deck. My experience has shown me that being connected with the natural environment has many mental health benefits. This is also supported by the research, so we will take advantage!
